  • Within the framework of Expocobre 2023, which will take place from May 29 to June 1, at the Exhibition Center of the Jockey Club of Peru<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Decarbonization, the greatest geopolitical risk, the postponement of capital projects, technological innovation, as well as few discoveries and low investment have led to a shortage of high-grade copper assets with significant useful lives. <\/p>\n

    These concerns and others will be addressed in the keynote lecture \u201cTechnological Challenges and Hurdles in Copper Mining,\u201d which will take place as part of the I World Copper Conference + Expo Expocobre 2023, organized by Intermet, and will be held from May 29 to June 1 at the Jockey Club of Peru Exhibition Center.<\/p>\n

    The conference will feature distinguished professionals such as Edgardo Orderique, General Manager of Operations at Minera Las Bambas; Carlos Cotera, General Manager at Compa\u00f1\u00eda Minera Antapaccay; Javier del R\u00edo, Senior VP South America and USA Business Units \u2013 Hudbay Minerals Inc.; Francisco Lecaros, President of the Chilean Mining Foundation, and Fernando Samanez, VP & Head of Minerals Sales MA South America at Metso. <\/p>\n

    The keynote conference will take place on Monday the 29th (5:30 PM to 7:00 PM). On the same day, presentations from the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), Southern Per\u00fa, the Embassy of Australia in Peru and Bolivia, among others, will also be held. In the morning, it's important to mention, the Expocobre 2023 Fair will open with a cocktail reception and traditional dances. <\/span><\/p>
